Marshal at North West 200

Clearly the North West 200 doesn't just happen. Many months of planning, training and hard work precede race week in May; when the teams and fans start to arrive and practices get under way.

Careful planning is required to run the race or any event that requires closed roads. Many people are required, timekeepers, radio operators, police, medical personnel, safety personnel and event organisers to name just a few.

However, the largest group of people without whom the North West 200 simply could not take place are the Marshals.

Who can become a Marshal at the NW200?

Anyone who is over 18 and is reasonably fit can become Marshal. No previous experiences or skills are necessary, as you will be able to access full training.

Role of a Road Marshal:

To ensure the Safety of Spectators, Competitors, Press and Officials.
To work as part of the team to ensure the smooth running of the event.
