The 250cc result has not been declared yet following an incident at Juniper Chicane on the last lap when the two leading riders Christian Elkin and Michael Dunlop crashed and William Dunlop stormed through to take the chequered flag.
The original race start only lasted one lap before the red flags came out after Mark Young crashed at Mathers Cross.
On the re-start Michael Dunlop and Elkin disputed the lead with William coming from the back row of the grid into third spot.
Passing and re-passing Dunlop led into towards Juniper on the last lap, but Elkin dived up the inside to take the lead.
However on the exit Elkin high sided off his machine leaving Dunlop nowhere to go and he also crashed out leaving William Dunlop to storm through to win his first North West 200 race pending a stewards inquiry into the final result.
