“On the opening lap of the Superbike Practice session Steve Plater had a crash at the final corner.Steve’s injuries are not life-threatening and he was able to speak to the medical team and the HM Plant Honda Team Manager at the scene. He is understandably in pain and therefore has been administered with pain-killing treatment and is now in hospital where he can be examined further to establish the precise nature of any injuries he may have sustained.

Steve would like to thank everyone for the numerous good wishes already received and the team will issue a further update in due course.”
