Incidents during Thursday qualifying at 2024 Briggs Equipment North West 200

Practice and qualifying have now been completed for the 2024 Briggs Equipment North West 200.

During today’s qualifying sessions there were three red flag incidents involving three competitors.

The first occurred in the Supersport session at Trolans, the second at Millbank Avenue in the Superstock qualifying and the third at Quarry Hill during the final Supertwins session.

The information from the NW200 medical team indicates none of the competitors sustained serious injuries but two have been taken to Causeway Hospital for assessment and treatment.

Racing will begin this evening after roads are closed at 4.45pm with the first race, the Briggs Equipment Superbike race scheduled to begin at 5.30pm followed by the Fraser Homes Supersport race and the Amici Ristorante Superstock race.

All races will be run over four laps.
